Entry level career position(s) in radio network planning & optimization with an international RF consultancy firm with local presence in Nigeria, immediate openings exist in Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, Kaduna, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Asaba and Bauchi respectively. Selected candidates must be willing to start immediately.
Position: Engineers
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior engineers with the planning, design and optimization of 2G/3G wireless networks
- Execute Candidate and Technical site surveys
- Conduct RF performance drive tests
- Assist senior engineers with RF planning and traffic planning activities
- Ability to operate various RF test equipments (spectrum analyzer, site master)
- Ability to perform system performance activities (RF data collection, BTS site adjustments)
Requirements:
- Recent graduate (less than lyr) (NYSC completed Or New NYSC BATCH)
- Solid interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
- Strong computer skills, including Window; XP professional, MS Office (Excel, Excel macros, Word, Access, Power Point), Internet experience
Education:
- Bachelors Degree/diploma’s in any engineering fielder sciences

Position: Core Network Engineer(s) RNP/RNO
Opportunity
Senior 2G/3G RAN, RF Design and Network Core Engineering positions available with a leading international consultancy firm in Nigeria. Candidate(s) will demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in GSM technology and UMTS or CDMA-EVDG, Expertise on any of the following vendors RAN/UTRAN or Core Network (MSC) is a must: Ericsson, Nokia Siemens, Alcatel-Lucent and Huawei. Selected candidates must be willing to travel within Nigeria and West African region for 3 to 6 months duration. Below are the minimum responsibilities and qualification requirements:
RAN Responsibilities:
RAN engineer must be able to perform GSM/UMTS network optimization and new site integration/commissioning. Candidate must have the ability to use various drive test tools and network optimization tools to troubleshoot RF related issue. Some responsibility will include but not limited to:
- Tier 3 Level data Analysts and provide network improvement recommendation,
- Understand/Analysis network KPI counters and developed customer impacting KPI metric
- Develop network optimization standard and guidelines for the client
- Performing frequency planning for GSM and traffic engineering
- Perform BSC and RNC RF data provisioning/configurations
- Script writing on the BSC and RNC platforms
- 4 to 5 years experience in 2G and 2years experience in UMTS
- Perform post processing of drive test logs using TEMS investigator or Actix
- Solid leadership, interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
- Monitor/troubleshoot alarms in the BSC and RNC.
- Strong Unix and IT background is a must.
- Knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Access, Excel Macros is a plus
- Ability to use protocol Analyzer or Net Analysis
Design Responsibilities:
RAN Design engineer must have 3 to 5 years experience in RF network design and implementation. Engineer must understand the fundamental of RF environment and RF modeling software in the market. Candidate must demonstrate practical experience for both GSM and UMTS design. Some responsibility will include but not limited to:
- Practical exposure to any of the propagation tools: Asset, CellPlan, Atoll, Wizard, Pathloss5.0
