Vacancies: Geophysics Manager, Team Lead Geoscientist
Our client is an independent company with significant interest in Oil and Gas Industry, seeks to engage experienced, intelligent and self driven individuals to fill the positions below as a result of its expansion and development programmes:
Position: Geophysics Manager
Minimum Education and Experience
- Applicants must possess Bachelor’s degree in Geology / Geophysics (with minimum of second class upper).
- A Master’s degree in any of these disciplines will be an added advantage
- Minimum of Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the oil industry with operators. The candidate must be proficient in the use of Geosciences Software particularly in a landmark environment.
- Must be a good team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work under pressure and ready to travel at very short notice.
- Must be less than35 years of age
- The key accountabilities would be deliver geophysical elements of exploration & development projects, seismic data acquisition, processing/reprocessing, attributes interpretation and well program support. Candidate must competence in the following areas:
- Planning and coordinating geophysical operations, seismic acquisition, profession and reprocessing
- Quality control functions for geohazard campaign in support of well and seismic operations
- Geophysical interpretation, innovative mapping using well and seismic
- Seismic attribute analysis, modeling, prospect evaluation and preliminary volumetric using the landmark applications.
Position: Team Lead Geoscientist
- Applicants must possess Bachelor’s degree in Geology / Geophysics (with minimum of second class upper).
- A Master’s degree in any of these disciplines will be an added advantage
- Minimum of Ten (10) years of relevant experience in the oil industry with operators.
- The candidate must be proficient in the use of Geosciences Software particularly in a landmark environment.
- Must be a good team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work under pressure and ready to travel at very short notice.
- Must be less than30 years of age

- The key accountabilities would be to deliver geosciences elements of exploration and development projects such as exploration / appraisal / development well and updating an existing reservoir model, which are well scoped and pre-defined pieces, of work.
- Candidate must have competence in the following areas:
- Proficient in geological evaluation, geophysical interpretation, innovative mapping using wells, seismic, production and reservoir data experience.
- Provide expertise related to field development plan, reserves assessment asset acquisition and exploration strategy.
- Seismic attribute analysis, modeling, prospect evaluation and preliminary volumetric using the landmark applications.
