Samuel Adegboyega University (SAU) is a private University established by The Church. LAWNA Territory, Nigeria. It has been granted an operational licence by the Federal Government of Nigeria to commence academic activities in September 2011 The University will take off with academic programmes in Three (3) Colleges namely Humanities Sciences and Social Management Sciences. Other programmes are to commence in the second and third phases of the development of the University. They include Postgraduate programmes. Colleges of Agriculture, Law. Environmental Studies, Education, Engineering and Medical Sciences.

Position: Librarian
The BOT of the University is desirous of recruiting visionary and dynamic individuate to constitute an excellent team of principal officers for the university.
Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of University Librarian.
The Position
The university Librarian is the Chief Library Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration of the University Library and the co-ordination of the library service in the University.
Qualifications
- Candidate for the post of University Librarian must possess good honours degree, plus professional qualification in librarianship (Ph.D and membership of a relevant professional body will be an advantage).
- Candidate must also show evidence of considerable scholarship and thorough understanding of new technologies to library operation and services.
- Computer literacy and application of ICT in Library services are essential requirements.
- In addition, candidates must show sufficient evidence of contribution to knowledge through research and scholarly publication in reputable journals within and outside Nigeria; and competence in job planning, organization and ability to take initiatives to fast-track the development of a young University Library to an international standard within a short period of time.
- At least five (5) of the relevant years of experience must have been at top leadership position in a recognized University and must have served as Deputy Librarian for at least three (3) years.

The successful applicant will be placed on competitive benefits and will equally enjoy the allowances normally attached to the position of principal officers in Nigeria Universities.
