Programme Coordinator at Comprehensive Community Mental Health Programme

The Comprehensive Community Mental Health Programme works with the mentally ill to improve their welfare both physically and socially as well as mentally, it is a new programme, run by the Methodist Church Nigerian in collaboration with local partners including the Benue State Ministry of Health. Due to rapid expansion we now invite applications from suitable qualified candidates to fill the position below

Position:     Programme Coordinator

A successful applicant will require the following skills:

  • Experience of managing projects ideally in a health setting
  • Experience of managing and supervising staff
  • Open to understanding mental health services and issues facing people
  • Experiencing mental health problems
  • Morally and socially sound
  • · Ability to manage finances and to support others in doing so.
  • Ability to liaise and negotiate with external agencies including government and religious organizations
  • Good organizations skills including time management, planning and delegations skills.
  • · Excellent verbal and written communication skills; includes ability to write letters and produce financial and other reports.
  • Good keyboard skills and a sound working knowledge of Computer packages; WORD Excel. Knowledge of Internet and e-mail.
  • A recommendation letter from a senior religious leader of his/her place of worship

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree and relevant professional qualifications
  • 5 years experience in Project Management
  • Valid driving license and excellence driving record
