The Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN), is a national non-governmental organization promoting Reproductive Health (RH) in Nigeria, As a member of the international Planned Parenthood Federate (IPPF), PPFN has expanded the scope of its programs beyond family planning to cover broad reproductive health, emphasizing the needs of adolescents and young people and safe motherhood, PPFN seeks suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions:
Position: Assistant Internal Auditor (AIA 2011)
Location: National Headquarters, Abuja
Responsibilities:
To provide assistance in ensuring effective internal control mechanisms of the Global Fund Round 9 Project finances, accounts, commodities and assets, and to strengthen financial discipline, accountability and transparency at the national and regional levels.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have B.Sc or HND Accounting
- Minimum of Five (5) years relevant work experience in an Audit firm
- Computer literacy including MS Word, Excel and Peachtree accounting packages.
- Proven sound numeric ability, analytical mind and penchant for details
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Positive towards issues of development in general and reproductive health in particular
- Working experience in NGO especially those involved in Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS
- Ability to work under pressure
- Membership of any recognized professional accounting body will be an advantage.
- Team playing skills.
- High sensitivity to individual and cultural differences
- Willingness to accept responsibilities
Position: Administration Officer (Legal)
Location: National Headquarters, Abuja
Responsibilities:
The purpose of this position is to provide support in general legal, policy and administrative issues to facilitate overall efficient reproductive health programme implementation.
Requirements:
- Degree in Law (LLB)
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience
- Excellent communicate abilities, conceptual and analytical skills
- Effective inter-personal skills, diplomatic and ability to relate with a diverse range of colleagues and stakeholders.
- Advanced Computer Skills
- Highly organized, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize workload and multi-tasking
- Good knowledge of development laws and policies on social issues particularly Reproductive Health and Rights.
- Excellent legal and policy formulation skills
- Ability to produce qualitative policy and legal analysis and other reports
- Sensitive and caring but firm and decisive in relating with colleagues.
- Good knowledge of NGO operations particularly those in reproductive health including family planning, maternal and child health, reproductive health, women development and program management.
- Familiarity with varied socio-cultural issues as they relate to reproductive health in the country and sensitive to cross-cultural issues and concerns.
