Position: Senior Monitoring and Evaluation (MandE) Advisor,
Who will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of the program’s M and E activities in an International health project based in Nigeria which is contigent upon successful award of the contract.
Job Description
The chosen candidate will be responsible for:
- Implementing M&E system for all project activities, including finalizing program indicators;
- Identifying and developing data sources, developing and maintaining systems for data collection and maintenance/storage;
- In co-ordination with the COP and home office team, prepare performance monitoring plans, as well as quarterly and annual reports and other project documents
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of ongoing M&E data, according to the project M&E plan;
- Ensure the timely submission of all M&E reports as specified by the client; and
- Present results of program achievements and outputs in written reports and at conferences and meetings,
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Masters Degree (minimum), or PhD or MD (desirable) in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, or other relevant field,
- 8 years of relevant professional experience in Public Health, including significant experience in monitoring and evaluating health programs, Experience in monitoring reproductive health and family planning programs highly desirable.
- Three or more years of international project experience, preferably in Nigeria.
- Experience with USAID desirable.
- Excellent writing, computer, management and organizational skills, experience with STATA or SPSS highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, initiative, and good judgment.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- Ability to independently plan and execute complex tasks while addressing daily management details and remaining organized and focused on long-term deadlines and strategy.
