A Leading Capital Markets Operator requires suitably qualified and experienced professional to fill the position below in its Head Office in Lagos
Position: Financial Controller
Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall Finance and Accounting activities of the company
- Actively support the MD/CEO to ensure efficient operation and growth of the company
- Ensure that the financial policies/procedures of the company are implemented efficiently and in line with generally accepted accounting practices (NASB & IFRS)
- Manage the bank and treasury processes of the company
- Institute adequate financial control systems and processes to secure the assets and efficient operation of the organization
- Develop key financial processes including budgeting, management and accounting/reporting
- Daily and monthly management reports and analyses
- Monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and variation reporting
- Maintain good relationships with all relevant regulatory and statutory agencies and ensure timely rendition of returns
- Supervise junior accounting staff and ensure the effective operation of the finance and accounts departments
Requirements
- Must hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or ACMA)
- Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC relevant professional experience in accounting or audit related functions with a Capital Markets Operator or an Audit Firm
- Must have excellent knowledge of PC software such as Excel, Word and Outlook and at least one Accounting package
- Must have good organizational and communication skills with excellent command of spoken and written English
