A Basic Metal Company Located in Ogun State require suitable qualified candidates to fill the positions below:
Position: Mechanical Engineer
Successful candidate will report to General Manager (Technical) and will head the mechanical maintenance crew
Responsibilities:
- Establish work methods and procedures for breakdowns and preventive maintenance programs and coordinates with production personnel in order to minimize downtime.
- Responsible for implementing and setting priorities for the preventive maintenance program,
- Preventive and corrective maintenance for drive equipment,
- Check material handling equipment,
- Inspect crane cables, hooks, checking hydraulic and pneumatic systems for spills or leakages.
- Responsible for evaluation, motivation and training of the mechanical maintenance team,
- Check work in progress to ensure proper maintenance is being performed.
- Develop a culture of predictive and preventive culture
- Investigates equipment performance, and takes corrective actions.
- Control operations of automobile repair shop and ensure efficiency of its operation.
- Maintain monthly/yearly expenses report for machine maintenance costs and department overheads.
- Spares plaining and management.
Qualification / Experience
- Candidates must have B.Sc/HND Mechanical Engineering.
- M.Sc degree is an added advantage. 12 years; experience preferably in rolling mill with intensive exposure in heavy rotating machinery and sophisticated hydraulic maintenance.
Age: Not more than 40 years.
Position: Shift Mechanical Supervisors
Incumbents will report to mechanical maintenance manager.
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical corrective maintenance and troubleshooting
- Execute planned preventive and corrective maintenance of machines;
- Receive complaints from production and carry out repairs of all breakdown on equipment during shift
- Monitor production equipment performance and report same to mechanical manager
- Maintain shift log book.
- Supervise and allocate jobs to shift technicians.
Qualification / Experience
- Candidates should possess B.Sc/HND in mechanical engineering.
- At least five years work experience in a heavy structure industry, preferably steel/basic metal,
Age: below 35 years
Position: Shift Electrical Supervisor
Incumbents will report to Electrical maintenance manager
Responsibilities:
- Electrical corrective maintenance and troubleshooting
- Execute planned preventive and corrective maintenance of machines
- Maintain service and safety standards during shifts
- Carry out equipment repair during shift
- Maintain shift log book
- Supervise and allocate jobs to shift technicians
- Supervise daily running of electrical equipment
Qualification/Experience
- Candidates should have B.Sc/HND in electrical engineering.
- At least five years work experience in a heavy structure industry, preferably steel/basic metal Exposure in drives/PLC/ LT distribution/MCC for rolling mill set up.
Age: Not more than 35 years
