In its effort to accomplish its vision and mission, the University Management on behalf of the Governing Council, is hereby soliciting for applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions below:
Position: Director, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) (CONTISS 15)
Job specification:
- Administration of the ICT Directorate
- Provide leadership for the ICT Directorate
- Advise the University administration on the Appropriate data processing policies
- Guide on the use and availability of computing facilities for research
- Produce computer operation instructions and manuals
- Ensure the design and implementation of data processing systems for University Administration
- Procure and update computer hardware
- Organize training programmes for computer staff and users
- Carry out other duties as may be assigned; and
- Provide professional and community service
The Right Candidate
- A candidate shall possess Bachelors degree in Computer Science not below second class or other relevant field or equivalent professional qualification with eighteen (18) years relevant experience, demonstrate extensive experience in the development and implementation of systems analysis programming and data processing, demonstrate ability to organize and lead the Directorate of information and Communication Technology (ICT) and be of good character.
Position: Directorate of Consultancy Services: (CONTISS 15)
Job specification:
- Administration of the Directorate of Consultancy
- Provide leadership for the Directorate of Consultancy
- Provide such technical, scientific, professional and other expertise services to all levels of Government, Parastatals Private Sectors and or international Organizations
- Contribute to the revenues generation capacity of the University and other such other avenues for legitimate earnings for both the University and for its staff as may be sanctioned by the university laws Council
- Create such opportunities for academic staff to undertake projects that have direct relevance and bearing on the immediate community of the University.
- Provide educational training at a sub-degree level to those persons who might not be able to undertake the regular programmes offered by the University; and
- Perform such other functions as may be determined by the Senate and sancloned by the Council of the University.
The Right Candidate
- A candidate shall possess Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting or any other business related discipline not below second class, or a graduate in any other discipline plus Master of Business Administration (MBA) with eighteen (18) years relevant experience, demonstrate extensive experience in investments and demonstrate ability to organize and lead the Directorate of Consultancy and be of good character, Candidate must be computer literate.
