Vacancies: Quality Assurance Officer, Procurement Officer

We are a World Class Manufacturing Company with a modern automated Fabrication and Galvanizing Steel Plant in Nigeria. We currently require the services of experienced and articulate candidates to fill the following positions:

 

Position:     Quality Assurance Officer

Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competency

  • B.Sc/HND Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2-4years experience as a Quality Assurance Officer in the fabrication unit of a steel Company.
  • MS Word and Excel Skills.
  • Experience in international Quality standard will be an added advantage.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare Quality assurance plan for the production process of a fabrication plant.
  • Lead the Quality assurance team in the preparation of daily work plan and training of employees.
  • Prepare Regular update and adjustment of QA plan according to changes that occur from time to time
  • Collate Quality assurance data of products in the plant.
  • To adhere strictly to company’s safety policy and work instructions standard

 

 

Position:     Procurement Officer

Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competency

  • Candidates should have B.Sc Purchasing Supply or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a purchasing officer in a Manufacturing concern.
  • MS Word and Excel Skills
  • Strong negotiating and organizational skills.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Procuring of materials, for all the company functions.
  • Contribute in ensuring right qualities to the end users
  • Participate in selection of suitable suppliers of materials
  • Active participation in the areas of preparation and issuance of enquires, administration of bid, tender or quotation, negotiation, expediting and delivery of purchases.
  • Participate in the monthly stock count of materials
  • Evaluate purchasing needs of the factory and coordinate with the Plant managers.
  • Provide recommendation using life-cycle costing through market research and analysis.
  • Expediting outstanding deliveries and keep end-users informed.
  • Resolve invoice disputes in conjunction with Accounts payable
