Vacancies: Shift Supervisor, Mobile Crane Operators
We are a World Class Manufacturing Company with a modern automated Fabrication and Galvanizing Steel Plant in Nigeria. We currently require the services of experienced and articulate candidates to fill the following positions:
Position: Shift Supervisor
Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competency
- Candidates should have B.Sc/HND Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience in industrial production environment, preferably in Steel industry
- knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
- Excellent supervisory and coaching skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Well developed problem solving skills.
- High attention to detail and quality.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise production tine operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
- Train and coach production line employees.
- Conduct employee performance- reviews.
- Responsible for shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
- Coordinate production start-ups shutdowns , and changeovers
- Coordinate with Human Resources for appropriate staffing levels.
- Schedule and conduct shift meetings.
- Responsible for shift, production goals.
- Responsible for quality control and make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications.
- Operate within standard operating procedures and Job Safety Analysis
- Communicate with other Shift Supervisors and Plant Manager
- Ensure a clean and safe work area
- Assist in production when required
- Other duties as assigned.
Position: Mobile Crane Operators
Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competency:
- WASC or OND Mechanical Engineering or City and Guilds Mechanical Certificate
- 3-5 years experience as an overhead crane operator in the steel industry.
- Ability to operate heavy mobile cranes.
- Knowledge and understanding of how to move heavy objects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- To drive and operate Mobile cranes
- To check the condition of Mobile cranes every day and report the outcome to the shift supervisor
- To adhere strictly to the company safety policy and work Instructions standard
- To keep detailed report of crane conditions after use and during maintenance/repairs
- To check the jigs before changing position in the tanks and after pre treatment
- Maintain the cleanliness of the crane
