Vacancies: Supervisor, Maintenance Officer
We are a World Class Manufacturing Company with a modern automated Fabrication and Galvanizing Steel Plant in Nigeria. We currently require the services of experienced and articulate candidates to fill the following positions:
Position: Supervisor
Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competency
- Bachelor’s Degree in Production Engineering or Metallurgical and Material Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience in industrial production environment preferably in Steel industry
- Awareness of general safety requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings related to design layouts.
- Excellent supervisory and coaching skills.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Well developed problem solving skills.
- High attention to detail and quality
- Ability to prioritise tasks.
- Ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations
- Maintains staff by orienting and training employees: developing personal growth opportunities.
- Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs: evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and date: answering questions and responding to requests.
- Create and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and implementing change.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Position: Maintenance Officer
Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competency
- Candidates should have B.Sc/HND Mechanical Engineering
- 8-10 years experience as a Maintenance officer in the steel industry.
- Experience in international Quality standard will be an added advantage.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance of plant equipment and training of employees
- Prepare Maintenance plan for plan equipment like crane, CnC machine, forklift, Generator, welding machine etc.
- Prepare Regular update and adjustment of maintenance plan to reflect changes purchase
- Collate Maintenance in the plant
- To adhere strictly to the company safety policy and work instructions standard.
