Vacancies: Fleet/Logistics Manager, Truck Drivers
A Lagos based haulage/logistics company with national coverage urgently require the services of professionals personnel to fill the vacant positions.
Position: Fleet/Logistics Manager:
Fleet Manager Interested candidates will be responsible for the daily operations and supervision of a large fleet of Trucks and other heavy lifting equipments.
Qualification:
- Bachelor Degree (minimum of second Class Lower)
- Membership of Nigerian Institutes of Logistics (will be an advantage)
- Must be computer literate with good practical knowledge of MS Word and
- Excel and basic truck tracking software.
- Proven ability to work under intense pressure with minimum supervision
Key Results Areas/Competencies:
- Will manage a fleet of trailers and other heavy duty equipments
- Must have poetical experience of managing fleet of not less than 50 trucks and must have had cross-Industry experience
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience in logistics/haulage management and not more than 40 years old
- Ensure zero down time for all the equipment
- Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance
- Manage drivers/operators and ensure compliance to safety and company policies
Position: Truck Drivers
The truck drivers shall be responsible for driving the vehicles and cargoes
Safely from one location to another; maintenance of the trucks and keeping them clean at all times.
Requirements:
- 5 years driving experience, 3 of which must be on Mack/freightliners trucks;
- Must have valid drivers’ license; Not more than 40 years old; Profoundly conversant with Nigerian Road Network; Ability to speak English language; clean driving records; must meet vision, hearing and blood pressure requirements; certified fit physically and emotionally. Experience in a bulk cement haulage environment will be an added advantage.
