Position: State Program Officers – Prevention and Mitigation
Locations: Akwa Ibom, Edo, and Rivers States
Specific Job/Responsibilities:
- The State Program Officer will provide technical and programmatic leadership and support to the CBO/FBO to implement high quality care and support activities at the State and community levels for orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), TB/HIV patients and RH services.
- Successful candidates will be involved in advocacy activities and work in partnership with the State and LGA SACA, LACA, Health Management Board, CBO and other influential partners.
Qualification:
- Preference will be given to candidates with B.Sc in health management social sciences, public health or related field. Higher degree such as MPH or MBA with 5-7 years post national youth service corps experience at the community level will be an added advantage. Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems, CBOs, and strong background in OVC programming for vulnerable children, Reproductive Health, HIV and TB/HIV Integration are highly desirable. Preference will be given to candidates from the project selected States and with demonstrated relevant prevent previous experience.
Position: Finance Officers
Locations: Abuja
Specific Job/Responsibilities:
- Support in the preparation of work plans/budgets, and tracking of budgets
- Ensure that that there is adequate fund for project implementation and ensure that expenditure is kept within approved budget
- Maintain working relationship with all sub-sub-recipients (SSRs): attend to all fund requests and ensure timely receipt of all reports expected from them
- Review retirements from SSRs and conduct regular visits for compliance with generally acceptable accounting practice and assist in continuous advance status reports and budget tracking analysis reports
- Prepare payment vouchers. Cheques and issue receipts for cash/cheques receipts
- Maintain contacts with the banks contractors, hotels, auditors, tax authorities, etc.
- Maintain petty cash
Qualification:
- Candidates must be a fully or partly qualified accountant with first degree/HND in Accounting or other related social sciences. Also required is a minimum of 3 years working experience with strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and QuickBooks, analytical. Interpersonal and oral communication. Familiarity with Nigerian NGOs and USAID contractual procedures is a must
