Our Client, a world class Insurance brokerage firm with head-office on Victoria Island Lagos and branch offices in Port -Harcourt and Abuja seeks to recruit a Managing Director who will strategically reposition the firm’s operations, enhance its performance and improve profitability.
Position: Managing Director
The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:-
- Facilitate strategic planning and visioning and develop action plans for attainment of corporate objectives.
- Provide leadership and effective performance management to achieve industry leadership in the medium term.
- Establish relationships and create new markets to significantly advance income and profit objectives of the company
- Provide lead for relationship management of existing key clients.
- Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys and generate ideas for new product development.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements consistent with sound corporate governance.
- Support effective corporate governance and manage board relationship.
- Ensure efficient day- to- day management of the company.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in insurance, actuarial science or related discipline from a reputable institution.
- Relevant Professional Insurance qualifications i.e. ACII or its equivalent.
- A master’s degree in relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years cognate experience with at least 5 years not below the position of Manager in a reputable insurance or brokerage company in Nigeria.
- Strong interpersonal skills combined with outstanding relationship and business development capabilities.
- Good understanding of key regulations guiding insurance brokers, insurance companies and clients in the Industry.
- High level of professionalism, exemplary teamwork and excellent leadership skills.
