Vacancies: Accountant-Joint Venture, Large Operated Asset, Legal Manager
Our client is a recently established independent oil & Gas production and exploration company. The Company was founded in 2010 and has a vision to be a leading upstream company in Nigeria by 2015. The company has established interests in a number of substantial production oil and gas assets in Nigeria and will see to acquire further oil & gas assets both within and outside Nigeria in the future.
The company is currently growing its organization to deliver on its exceptional and challenging strategic plan. In order to achieve this, we are now looking to recruit a number of high caliber individuals to perform a number of key roles in the organization.
The opportunities listed below outline some of the roles available for candidates with a proven track record in the oil and gas industry, a reputation for being motivated, driven, and dedicated to the success of the business.
Position: Accountant-Joint Venture, Large Operated Asset (ES017)
Reporting to the Joint Venture and Project Accounting Manager, the successful candidate will have primary responsibility for all financial and accounting aspects of the Company’s operated joint venture assets.
Key Requirements
- Applicants should have a good first degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance or any closely related discipline from a reputable institution. Relevant professional qualification(s) i.e. ACA, ACCA, CFA.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ cognate experience, including a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the oil & gas industry.
Position: Legal Manager (ES018)
The successful candidate will work with the Group General Counsel in providing general legal advice for the Company’s operations and joint venture businesses, including ensuring compliance with corporate legal policies, local and international laws and regulations, and partner agreements.
Key Requirements
- A good first degree in Law from a reputable university with a Master’s degree in Law a distinct advantage. Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association or its equivalent is essential
- A minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years’ experience in the commercial legal practice and /or an exploration and production company
- Strong experience negotiating, drafting and advising on upstream commercial agreements.
Position: Legal Officer (ES019)
Reporting to the Legal Manager, the successful candidate will support the work of the legal team and in particular, provide hands-on legal advice in connection with the Company’s day-to-day operations This will include drafting and negotiating a win* ran« of commercial and operational Contracts.
Key Requirements
- Applicants should have a good first degree in Law from a reputable university. Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association or its equivalent is essential.
- Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years relevant work experience in a reputable law firm, and / or the oil and gas industry.
Note:
Successful candidates for all roles will work in a multi-disciplinary team and will require good IT, interpersonal communication and presentation skills, combined with excellent organization and team working skills, drive for excellence and a passion for success.
