Position:     Trainee Geoscientists

The Candidate:

The successful candidate must have dear understanding of basic Geoseience concepts and principles as well as be self-motivated with the ability to make effective individual contributions within a functional team. No previous experience required, but demonstrated ability to learn and integrate quickly is an advantage.

 

The ideal candidate must fit the following profile:

  • Candidates must have Ph.D or Masters degree in Gecscience (Geology or Geophysics). Candidates expecting to obtain a Ph.D. or Masters degree by October 2012 may also apply
  • Candidates must have Bachelors degree with a minimum of second class upper in Geoscience (Geology, Geophysics, or physics)
  • Possess NYSC discharge or exemption certificate

 

The Role:

The successful candidates will undergo a 2-3 years training program in various Geoscience skill areas. The training will be on the job and will prepare the individuals for assignments in any designated aspect of petroleum exploration and production anywhere in Nigeria.

 

Position:     Experienced Specialist Geoscientist

 

The Candidate:

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong technical competencies, possess the ability to communicate effectively, and be expected to set and meet high standards.

 

The ideal candidate must fit the following profile:

  • Candidates must possess Ph.D or Masters degree in Geoscience (Geology or Geophysics) with a minimum second class upper Bachelors degree
  • Competent/expert skill in geophysical applications or seismic data processing
  • A minimum of 5 continuous years of relevant industry experience
  • Must possess NYSC discharge or exemption certificate

 

The Role:

The specialist geoscientist must be able to independently provide expert interpretation and services in the areas of geophysical applications or formation evaluation.
