Position:     Head Cost Control Department

 

Primary Objectives:

Develop, coordinate and manage procedures to ensure the efficient cost control of the Projects, including the recording, controlling, forecasting and reporting of all financial matters.

 

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • 12 years experience in Oil and Gas / Petrochemical industry.
  • Must have minimum 5 years experience in Cost Control
  • Accounting /Finance qualification(s) or equivalent experience in numeric / construction preferable.
  • Proven computer literacy skills with experience in cost and project control computer applications
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with others; (verbally, in written communications and in presentations / meetings).
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently plan / prioritize all areas of responsibility such as: Budgets; Time management; Resources -training and succession planning.
  • Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of industry standard practices in cost control activities.
  • Experience in audit activities

 

Matching Indicators:

  • Candidates must have B.Sc Accounting/Finance Chartered Accountant or CPA, or Numerate Degree or relevant years experience
  • Demonstrated relevant industry estimating experience, ideally gained within the oil and gas industry knowledge of project management systems interfaces, i.e. Planning Tool (P3/P3e with in Control, SAP, and any other systems, Via SQL) capable of controlling and monitoring project progress and expectations.
  • Demonstrable commitment to HSE management in a project environment High level organizational and planning skills

 

Position:     Contract Adviser

The Engineering Contracts Adviser plays an active role in the development of Project Contracting Strategies including project specific compensation on major oil and gas, construction and other Engineering works projects, through development and award of contract, to contact close-out.

 

Task and Responsibilities

Contract Review

  • Review tender contract, and update checklist template in the system.
  • Coordinate feedback session with all stakeholders regarding key legal contract ramifications and issues.
  • As necessary liaise with Company Lawyer, for clarification and direction about legal aspects and liabilities and prepare correspondence requesting Client to provide amendments to the original contract.
  • Liaise with Client, and all internal stakeholders for obtaining agreement and contract sign off.

 

Skills, Education, Experience:

  • A good university degree in Engineering with advanced degree in business studies such as MBA or commercial law.
  • Minimum of 10 years of contract administration experience preferably on oil and gas engineering projects.
  • Familiar with WBS and their application when developing/using progress monitoring.
  • Experience executing major oil and gas engineering contracts.
  • Adept at the development of detailed contractual terms and conditions.
  • Have a proven track record in contract negotiations and administration.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Lead meetings with all project sponsors, project engineers and project managers during the tender/RFP process
  • Experience working effectively with project engineers and understand their technical plans and specifications.
  • Experience in project management, sourcing and establishing relationships to win business for the company.
