Vacancies: Registrar, Bursar

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the vacant posts of the Registrar and Bursar of the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti.

 

Position: Registrar

The Post

The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College. He is responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration of the College. The Registrar is by virtue of the office, the Secretary to the Governing Council and the Academic Board.

 

Qualifications and Experience

The criteria to be met by candidates for the post are as follows:

  • Must posses a good honours degree from a recognized University and a Master’s degree or equivalent plus membership of reputable professional bodies;
  • Should have a minimum of fifteen (15) years post qualification administrative or professional experience, five (5) of which must have been spent at the senior management level of any higher institution of learning;
  • Must have demonstrable and proven innovative abilities and drive:
  • Must be proficient in information and Communications Technology (ICT)

 

Position: Bursar

 

The Post

The Bursar is the head of the Bursary department of the College. He is responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the College.

 

Qualifications and Experience

The criteria to be met by candidates for the post of the Bursar are as follows;

  • Must posses a good honours degree   in Accounting or related discipline as
  • well as professionally recognized Accounting qualification e.g. ACMA,
  • ACA, CPA, ACCA, CNA etc.   Possession of a higher degree will be an advantage;
  • Should have at least fifteen (15) years experience after the  honours degree, and ten (10) years after professional qualification
  • In addition, applicants must have at least five (5) years relevant experience in a senior management position of any higher institution of learning
  • Must have demonstrable and proven innovative abilities and drive
  • Must be proficient in Information and Communications Technology (ICT packages and accounting software).

 

Conditions of Service

The salaries and allowances attached to the posts are attractive and conform with what is payable to Registrar/Bursar of colleges of Education in Nigeria

The tenure of office of the Registrar and Bursar is five (5) years in the first instance and renewable for another term of five (5) years.

Other conditions of service of senior staff are as amended from time to time. These include other fringe benefits apart from the basic salary and allowances.
