Vacancies: Operations Manager, Project Officer – Procurement
The Federal Government has received a Credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of implementing the Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) in some States of the Federation, whose Objectives is to sustainably increase access of Poor People to improved Social and Natural Resource Infrastructure. It intends to apply a portion of this Credit to eligible Payments for engagement of Staff.
The Kebbi State Community and Social Development Project (KBCSDP) now invite applications, accompanied by a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) from suitably qualified Candidates from Private and Public Sector to fill the following Vacancies: –
Position: Operations Manager
Responsibilities
- Supervising and coordinating the overall activities of the Operations Department, including the conduct of Field Appraisals and commendation of project proposals to Project Management Commi ttee for Funding.
- Liaising with relevant MDAs to provide Technical and back-up support to Communities,
- Providing Quarterly and Annual projections for Community
- Development Plans (CDPs) and Micro projects implementation and ensuring the maintenance of Records of such projects on continuous basis well as passing same to M&E Development.
Qualification and Experience
- Candidate must possess a University Degree in Agriculture, Engineering, Extension Services, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Project Management or any other relevant degree, with at least Ten Years post qualification experience in Rural Development projects or Extension services. Previous experience in working with International Funded-Projects shall be an added advantage. He/she shall be computer literate and versatile in Microsoft word.
Position: Project Officer – Procurement
Responsibilities:
- The successful Candidate will be under the direct supervision of the Manager Finance and Administration and shall be responsible for procurement at the State Agency (SA), including Procurement Planning, Design, Implementation, Management and Training of Community Project Management Committee (CPMC) and ensure that CPMCs adhere to Procurement Procedures and Guidelines;
- Maintain a comprehensive Procurement Unit Cost Database to assist in the preparation of a project cost document and provide up to date information on all procurement at the Agency Level.
- Provide Training to the Communities on Community Contracting.
Qualification and Experience:
- Candidate must possess at least a First Degree or High National Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, Architecture, Marketing. Purchasing and Supply or related field, with at least 5 years post Qualification experience, part of which must relate to procurement in a Foreign Funded Agency or State Government Due Process Office.
- Computer literacy, with versatility in Microsoft Word and Excel is compulsory. Experience in Community Contracting is an added advantage.
- The Appointment is for a Contract Term of Two Years, with at least Six Months probation Period. However, Civil Servants found suitable will be engaged, as
- Seconded Officers, who will continue to enjoy Salary from their Employers but with additional Incentives from the Project.
