Position: Associate Director, Clinical Pharmacy Services

Location: SIDHAS Country Office, Abuja
HU-PACE, a core partner in the ‘Strengthening integrated Delivery of HIV/AIDS Services’ (SIDHAS) project seeks to engage an Associate Director (Clinical Pharmacy Services). S/he will provide leadership and expertise in Clinical Pharmacy to strengthen pharmacy systems in Nigeria. S/he will coordinate efforts to build pharmacists/pharmacy personnel’s capacity to deliver pharmaceutical care services to improve patient outcomes in health facilities and at the community level in collaboration with Government of Nigeria staff.
Minimum Recruitment Standards:
Candidates must have B.Pharm/ PharmD and MSc or Ph. D in Clinical Pharmacy or recognized equivalent degrees with at least 10 years relevant experience, 5 years of which should be in international Health Development programs including 3 years of supervisory experience. S/he must be a registered pharmacist and have strong technical skills and experience in Clinical Pharmacy Practice.
Other Considerations:
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- Ability to use key computing applications including but not limited to MS Office Suite (Word. Excel. Power point. Access etc.); DHIS/LAMIS a plus
- Willingness to extend working hours to meet deadlines and at short notice
- Ability to function effectively in multi-disciplinary teams to produce excellent results under pressure
- The job involves at least 30% local travel at short notice.
