Vacancies: Polytechnic Librarian, Director of Physical Planning
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant positions at the Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State.
Position: Polytechnic Librarian
Responsibilities
- Framing overall Library Policy, personal contacts and liaison with departments
- Preparation of Library budgets
- Engaging in matters of common interest.
- Responsible to the Rector for the smooth running of Library of the Institution, e.g. attending departmental meetings as member of National Library Association, Library Committee, etc
Qualifications and Experience:
Applications should possess any of the following qualifications and experience:
- Holder of Master degree in Library Science with 15 years cognate experience
- Holder of good honours Bachelors degree in Library Science with at least 18 years cognate experience
- In any of (i) and (ii) above the applicant must be fully registered member of a recognized relevant professional body
- Knowledge of I.C.T will be an added advantage.

Position: Director of Physical Planning
Responsibilities
- Responsible to the Rector on the overall physical development in the Polytechnic
- Planning and controlling the physical developmental activities of the Polytechnic
- Advising the Rector on issues relating to physical development in the Polytechnic
- Liaison with relevant bodies regarding projects in the Polytechnic
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Rector
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess any of the following:
- Master Degree in any of the relevant Engineering courses or Architecture, Quantity Surveying and Town Planning 12 years cognate experience in Project Management
- A good honours degree as in (i) above plus 15 years cognate experience in project Management
- In any of (i) & (ii) above, candidate must be a registered member of his/her professional body
- Knowledge of I.C.T will be an added advantage
