Position:     Field Aviation Supervisor

 

The Role:

Candidate will oversee helicopter operations and services provided by helicopter service providers at company operational bases. Also support the Aviation team in the execution of key initiatives: providing the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency in support of company business activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of helicopter operations to provide safe and efficient helicopter transportation of company personnel
  • Management of company helicopter support facilities (hangars, helidecks, heliports refueling unite, etc.) in accordance with relevant aviation regulations and ExxonMobil Aviation Operations Guidelines
  • Liaison with internal business units to provide helicopter logistics support for Company operational requirements
  • Oversight of passenger handling processes and facilities in accordance with company guidelines
  • Provision of innovative helicopter logistics solutions that support the achievement of business results

 

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be a professional pilot with extensive helicopter operations background that includes experience as a unit Fight Safety Officer, Training Captain or Chief Pilot in an aviation company.

  • Airline Transport Pilot License (Helicopters) with a minimum of 10 years experience as a Commercial Pilot
  • Demonstrable management skills with prior experience as a unit Flight Safety Officer, Training Captain or Chief Pilot in a global aviation company
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher will be an added advantage
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a culturally diverse environment
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

 

 

Position:     Mooring Master

 

The Role:

The Mooring Master is to safely berth Export Tankers, supervise all MPN loading operations and direct launch of third party vessel crews in mooring operations in an efficient manner. The incumbent of this position will primarily be engaged with Upstream Nigeria offshore field operations – QIT, BRT, YOHO and ERHA.

 

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Advise ship masters on mooring/loading preparations and procedures
  • Ensure enforcement of international, company and port regulations
  • Ensure safety and environmental regulations are strictly complied with
  • Coordinate maintenance of SPM buoys and related mooring equipment/gears
  • Maintain accurate record of marine hoses (including thru put of marine hoses in use)
  • Carry out ship/offshore support vessel inspections
  • Berthing/Unberthing of tankers and advice shipmasters on best approaches to MPN loading berths
  • Direct line handling boats in safe and efficient mooring operation
  • Ensure de-ballasting (clean ballast only) is property carried out and tanks certified to receive cargo
  • Maintain communication with shore pump station/cargo control room on proper loading  procedures, sequence and rates
  • Certify quantities loaded on board in collaboration with ship’s officers and independent surveyors
  • Participate in oil release cleanup activities and marine incident investigations when necessary.

 

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have a strong background in marine operations and be able to work to deliver results with minimum supervision, within a diverse team.

 

In addition, candidates must possess:

  • Class 1 Master Manners certificate (Foreign Going)
  • A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience as a master mariner
  • A minimum of 10 years ocean going ship experience
  • Tanker mooring experience
  • Knowledge of Marine terminal operation
  • Excellent ship handling skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with tanker officers of different nationalities
  • Knowledge of local sea and weather conditions
  • Innovative thinking to improve effectiveness
  • Team spirit and analytical thinking
  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

 

Position:     Experienced Geotechnician

 

The Candidate:

The successful candidate must have strong computing skills and strong technical knowledge of geoscience data management, data retrieval, transfer and formatting via PC Lan environment. The individual must also possess ability in data transfer (gathering and data loading) skills in Petrel, Geoframe and portable physical media. Ability to contour maps using grids from geologist, and knowledge of ArcGIS would be an advantage. The individual must demonstrate ability to team quickly.

 

The ideal candidate must fit the following profile:

  • Higher National Diploma (Upper Credit) or B.Sc degree (with a minimum of second class lower) in Computing, Geoscience or Engineering
  • Possess NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

 

The Role:

The successful candidate will provide geotechnical support to geoscientists; carry out data gathering and data loading in Petrel and Geoframe, perform data transfers from/to PC LAN environment, create non-interpretative maps and plots for geoscientists, identify opportunities for optimizing data management using company approved software applications, create and document workflows and processes so that other technicians and geoscientists can use, maintain and update Geological and Geophysical database to improve teams overall performance, share work process/knowledge with other geotechnicians.
