The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Abuja Delegation is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the vacancy below.

 

 

Position: Mechanic

 

Main tasks:

  • Repairs and maintains ICRC vehicles and generators according to workload planning and instructions Performs regular report to his supervisor Masters the concept of preventive maintenance
  • Performs the preventive maintenance and repairs according to set down rules and ICRC procedure
  • Assists to clean the vehicle inside and outside after the service Performs the service and maintenance for the generators and vehicles Prints and studies the electrical wiring diagram in order to perform breakdown diagnosis and repair
  • Uses internet and database or car manufacturer web site to collect information to perform the job in a professional manner as per industry standards and ICRC guidelines
  • Assists in the yearly spare parts inventory
  • Assists in the cleaning of spare parts stock
  • Keeps clean and tidy his personal toolbox at all time
  • Performs monthly inventory of his toolbox and reports any missing tool
  • Ensures proper working conditions at all time:

 

Required Qualification:

  • High school level or professional/vocational School
  • 2 years work experience as mechanic
  • Basic knowledge of English
  • Driving license
  • Basic computer skills
