Our Client, a major global player in the Oil and Gas Servicing sector invites qualified individuals to apply for the following open positions:

 

Position:     Field Engineers/Specialist- Directional Drilling (Ref: DE-DRS)

 

This position is responsible operationally for all field personnel working for designated clients. The incumbent is also responsible for a designated group of personnel for training and career advancement purposes.

 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Under broad direction provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems at the well site where analysis of data requires having a broad knowledge of the product line(s) tool(s) and/or service.
  • Work is evaluated upon completion by a Field Supervisor (where appropriate), local Operations Management and the external Customer to ensure objectives have been met.
  • Acts as a project leader and mentors junior field engineers.
  • Provides direct instruction and supervision to junior Field Engineers on day-to-day well site work and activities.
  • Provides advice and direction to external customer and third-party wellsite colleagues as appropriate.
  • Executes other related duties as assigned.
  • Conducts all business activities in accordance with Company HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Company Core Values.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Engineering or Applied Science required.
  • 5 + years’ experience in Directional Drilling Services

 

Desired/Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of Conventional Drilling Systems Technology
  • Working knowledge of Rotary Steerable Technology
  • Working knowledge of MWD systems used in Directional Drilling Systems.
  • Thorough understanding of customer requirements in the oilfield environment
  • Proficient in the use of PC’s
  • Ability to use skills, knowledge and techniques in problem recognition and solution development
  • Thorough knowledge of Anti Collision policy and techniques for Collision Avoidance.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with internal  and external customers.

 

 

Position:     Field Coordinator Services -Completions Service (Ref: FSC -C)

 

This position is responsible for coordinating operationally all field projects/jobs/tasks while working for designated and potential clients. The position is also responsible for training and career advancement for a designated group of personnel

 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Co-ordinate PL activity on a daily basis for a designated group of operators and/or drilling & completions contractors.
  • Responsible for coordinating field tickets, revenues and margins and approval of invoices for above group.
  • Work with the customers and coordinate jobs and projects to meet customer and company expectations.
  • Liaise with other coordinators in product line, sales and engineering support groups to effectively co-ordinate personnel and materials.
  • Coordinates and supervises activities of service or technical personnel via project/task assignments, job or project management, administration and technical support
  • Coordinate the activities of group of field employees, with emphasis on safety, quality and career advancement including training of said employees
  • Monitors daily progress of job(s) or project(s) and prepare daily & monthly operations report
  • Works independently under general supervision, requiring normal guidance and review
  • Assist in all corporate reporting requirements.
  • Work with the operations manager and workshop supervisor to achieve a cost effective workshop activities
  • Provides some technical guidance and work direction to field staff
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients for approval by Operations Manager if and as required.
  • Control and approval for final review by Operations Manager of expense reports, holidays and offshore claims of designated reports.
  • Perform and also assign weekend on call duties to designated employees
  • Handles special projects, as assigned by the Operations manager
  • Liaise with other Product line colleagues within the Region and Globally and other Product Lines as required to meet company operations
  • Implement the Company Quality system within your work area and advice of changes to operating procedures and assist in documenting/implementation of these changes.
  • Ensure all job related failure information is input to First Alert as per current company procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in performance of product lines products and services by promptly reporting all non-conformances. Routinely query the database to identify potential problems and lessons learned which may impact day to day operations.
  • Participate in the Company HS&E Management System, including compliance to the policy management standards and specific HS&E procedures. To continuously improve HS&E performance through supervision and accountability within the line management structure of the market segment
  • Ensure all relevant completed paperwork is passed to billing as soon as possible after a job is finished to allow invoice to be prepared as quickly as possible.
  • Conduct all business activities in accordance with Company HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Company Core Values.
  • Other duties as deemed required by Operations Manager

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of College qualification or equivalent in applied sciences essential
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and related allied sciences preferred)
  • 10+ years’ experience in an oilfield drilling and completions Systems (Cased Hole, Open Hole, Intelligent Systems, Sand Control, completion systems and operations including, intelligent systems, Frackpacking and Open hole gravelpacking and WBI systems)
