A State Government Development Agency requires competent persons, capable of providing professional performance with good team mindset for the following positions below:

 

Position: Officer, Operations and Maintenance (Electrical Engineer) (Ref 194/12)

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and or modifies electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs
  • Controls project cost estimates, quantity takeoffs and manpower requirements for proposals, forecasts and changes orders
  • Supervises, coordinates and provides technical direction and on-the job training to Drafters, Designers and less experienced Engineers
  • Inspects completed installations and observes operations to ensure compliance to designs, equipment specifications, operational and safety standards
  • Reviews plans submitted by independent contractors

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Candidates must have HND/ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or any related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • Professional affiliation with a recognized professional Engineering body including the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
  • Registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) would be an advantage
  • A Masters degree in Engineering would be an added advantage.

 

 

Position:     Senior Officer, Planning (Urban Planner) (Ref 195/12)

 

Responsibilities

  • Designs, promotes and administers government plans and policies affecting land use, zoning, public utilities community facilities, housing and transportation
  • Confers with Government, Lawyers, Developers, the public and special interest groups on land development matters as it relates to the Authority
  • Recommends approval, denial or conditional approval of proposals
  • Advises planning officials on project feasibility, cost-effectiveness, regulatory conformance and possible alternatives
  • Reviews and evaluates environmental impact report pertaining to private and public planning projects and programmes

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Town/Urban Planning or Estate Management
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience
  • A combination of training, education and experience in Urban Development procedures and practices
  • Relevant professional qualification(s) will be an added advantage

 

ICT proficiency is mandatory for all positions.
