Technical Specialists at Chemonics International

Chemonics International seeks qualified Nigerian candidates for the upcoming USAID-funded Strengthening Advocacy and Civic Engagement Program.

 

The program will improve transparency and accountability in the Nigerian democratic system, through strengthening civil society’s ability to participate in the development and implementation of key democratic reforms at the national state, and local levels. This goal will be achieved through strategic partnerships between civil society coalitions and organizations and critical stakeholders in Nigerian society including the media, government institutions, and the private sector.

 

Position: Technical Specialists

 

Technical Specialists interested in long-term and short-term positions with at least three years professional experience in the following areas are invited to apply:

  • Civil Society Capacity Building and Expert Trainers
  • Civil Society management and finance
  • Budget advocacy and monitoring
  • Extractive industry governance, transparency, and advocacy
  • Communications, New Media, and strategic ICT solutions
  • Public procurement monitoring
  • Freedom of Information Act
  • Government accountability legislation
  • Gender advocacy, women’s issues, and women in government
  • Advocacy for increased participation in democratic governance forĀ  persons living with disabilities
  • Media freedom and reform
  • Peace building and conflict resolution trainers
