RTI International is implementing a five year USAID funded Leadership, Advocacy, Empowerment, and Development (LEAD) project in Nigeria, a project aimed at improving governance and service delivery at the local government level.
These positions are open to residents of Nigeria only.
Position: Logistics Assistant
Location: (Bauchi)
To be responsible for providing sound Logistics assistance that will include efficient and effective assistance to the management of the LEAD vehicle fleet, assets, properties and an efficient procurement system that will ensure transparency and accountability as stated in the Operational manual and in conformance with RTI and USAID policies and regulations. This position reports to the Senior Office Manager
Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
- Transport and fleet management: As delegated, handles issues surrounding vehicle management, maintenance and repairs including scheduling and recordkeeping
- Assets and facility management: Maintains computerized fixed assets and inventory list for all properties of the LEAD office and facilities in Bauchi regularly update the assets list as acquired
- Procurement and supply: Maintains a regular flow of office supplies for all staff use, by responding efficiently and quickly to managing requisitions, and by following up and keeping timely record of office supply usage and stock point. Ensures that the items bought match the request, are of good quality, reliable, appropriate and at a reasonable price.
Required
- A Degree with 1.5 years of working experience
- A Working knowledge of Computer applications including MS Office Suites: Excel spreadsheets, MS Word, word processing and internet
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Demonstrate ability to priorities task and ensure follow through.
- Ability to negotiate and relate with people
- Demonstrate integrity and transparency.
Position: Executive/Program Assistant
Location: (Bauchi)
Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide a wide range of administrative and support duties for the LEAD Program, with primary assistance to the COP and the programme department.
- Coordinates office space for visiting RTI/USA staff or outside consultants.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings for the Program. This may include booking rooms, ordering refreshments, coordinating schedules and meeting invites, preparing agendas, and taking meeting minutes;
- Coordinate and track project-related travel and accommodations (domestic and international).
- Manage any other administrative tasks as needed.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 1 year experience.
- Experience in administrative support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good command of both written and spoken English, Hausa is a plus
- Typing skills and ability to use Computer applications
