An Ibadan based Non Governmental Organization with focus on Reproductive Health and Population Programmes requires the services of qualified, competent and experienced applicants for the position below:
Position: IT Officer
Requirements:
The successful candidate shall be responsible for the following:
- Develop and ensure the effective functioning of an extensive computer network
- Follow up on reports from programme officers for necessary uploading on the organisation’s website
- Ensure that the organisation’s Website remain vibrant and current with information to reflect the work and concerns of the organisation.
- Maintain the computer network in the office, to ensure smooth operations of the computer, printer, network, email and internet with virus free operation.
- Ensure installation/reconfiguration of applications, diagnosing and providing solutions to user’s difficulties
- Give technical assistance to users(HELP DESK)
- Check regularly on internet service in order to avoid interruption
- Provide regular back up of important files in each computer to avoid any possibility of losing data due to hardware damage or software problem.
- Manage the LAN, the IP address allocation and other network equipment
- Must be conversant with network environment and be able to develop, effect and maintain network installations
- Manage peripherals like projector, printers, scanners etc
- Provide for virus prevention and cure through current tools and keep track of updates on the virus prevention
- Prepare monthly inventory and status of all computer hard wares, projector(s) , etc and submit same to the management
Qualifications:
- A University degree or its equivalent in Computer Science/Computer Engineering from reputable institution
- Professional qualifications in Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE); Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- At least three years work experience is desirable.
