Vacancies: Group Financial Controller, Site/Project Engineers
A Reputable Construction Company and an Oil and Gas Company seek to engage experienced professionals for the following positions below:
Position: Group Financial Controller
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have B.Sc Accounting
- Applicants should have ACCA, CPA, ACA.
Experience:
- Minimum of ten years high level Accounting Experience, of which five should be as Head(s) of Accounts Departments of large Companies.
- Working experience of at least three years in a large Construction Company as a Cost Accountant or Cost and Management Accountant is mandatory.
- Very Sound Computer Systems Skills, including Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions, Elite Software, etc.
Main Duties
- Formulating, Implementing, Monitoring of Finance Policies and Procedures for all the Companies in the Group; and ensuring compliance with same.
- Putting Effective Controls in the Companies (within the Group).
- Liaising with Operations Staff in other Departments to ensure timely, costing, submission of bids and proper management of Certificates.
- Effective Cash Flow Management.
- Timely Management Information.
- Timely monthly Group Final Accounts.
- Preparation of short and long term Profit Plans, Budgets and monitoring of same against actual results: including important accounting ratios.
- Ensuring timely rendition of returns to Regulatory Authorities.
- Effective liaising with External Auditors, Inland Revenue and other Regulatory Authorities.
- Exemplary and proper leadership of the Finance Staff of the Group.
- Appropriate training of the Finance Staff
- Miscellaneous Duties.
Position: Site/Project Engineers
Reference: SPE 01
Qualifications:
- First Degree from accredited institution of Higher Learning/University – B.Sc, B.Eng, HND in civil Engineering
- Minimum of six (6) years demonstrable practical experience on road works construction, Bridges, general civil works construction, Bridges, general civil works installations.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Words, Corel draw, Power Point, AutoCAD,
- Professional Membership and Registration with C.O.R.E.N compulsory.
Responsibilities: These include but not limited to the under-listed:
- The person will be responsible for the site supervision and management of assigned resources to ensure effective and timely delivery of project work in accordance with specifications and quality in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Develop an Optimal program for the Project works.
- Understand importance of Project Management.
- Monitor Progress of each project from Initiation to close-out.
- Assist in preparing scope of services and Material List for any project works
- Understand Requirements for Cost Estimate preparation.
- Establish suitable Quality Assurance and Quality Control Procedures for the works.
- Monitor and Implement Change Order Control, where required.
- Assist in developing Cost Control System-Budget Control, Payment and Invoicing.
- Must be a strong adherent to Safety, Health and Environmental issues. Candidate should be mature, astute and businesslike with excellent supervisory skills and attention to details.
