A Leading International Civil Engineering Company that specializes in water engineering consultancy, based in Nigeria is looking to employ a qualified
Position: Quantity Surveyor (QS 1)
Job description:
- Should have experience in major multi-discipline engineering projects in international setting;
- Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations;
- Certification of subcontractor monthly valuations and final accounts
- Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence;
- Works with project team to administer the contracts from award through closeout;
- Developing knowledge relevant to contract conditions and their applications;
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments;
- Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports.
Qualification:
- B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Quantity Surveying
- Registered member Quantity Surveyors (QSRBN), Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyor etc. will be an added advantage
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- 10-15 years post NYSC working experience;
- Very good verbal and written communication skills;
- Solid communication and computer skills (Spreadsheet applications, word processing, etc.);
- Proven experience to work in an international setting;
- Excellent knowledge of various contract forms (World Bank Works, FIDIC, etc.);
- An excellent understanding of construction methods and materials;
- Good familiarity with construction and material cost in the construction industry in Nigeria.
- Good attention to detail.
