Position: Assistant Director, Accounts (GF Malaria and GF HIV)

Job Profile:

 

This is a Senior Management Position: the successful candidates will be a key staff in managing the accounts of the two Global Fund projects, Reports to the Director – Accounts & Finance with a dotted line relationship to Directors – Global Fund Malaria and Global Fund HIV, S/He will manage and supervise the GF Malaria & HIV Project Accountants, provide finance schedules to Auditors, produce monthly and other periodic financial and management accounts, and produce donor budget monitoring report. The successful candidates will responsible for the preparation of progress updates and disbursement request for GF projects.

 

S/He will review all GF Posting in SAP on a monthly basis, review sub-recipients financial and PUDR and resolve all issues arising, and will ensure prompt disbursement of funds to SRs. S/He will assist in conducting capacity building for Sub-Recipients on financial management and reporting. In addition, the successful candidates will be responsible for preparation of project burn rate analysis, enhanced financial reporting and will also prepare the Dashboard for submission to the Country Coordinating Mechanism. S/He will provide schedules to the Local Fund Agent as well as GF audits, will ensure clean audit reports, and assist in budget monitoring and continuous cash flow analysis for the projects.

 

Qualification/Experience: The desired candidate:

  • Must possess first degree (B.Sc/HND in Accounting or its equivalent in a relevant field. ACA / ICAN is also required.
  • Must possess a Masters degree in Accounting/Finance or Economics.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in full accounting or finance practice in an NGO or other relevant organizations.
  • S/He must possess demonstrable ability to use relevant accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning software such as SAP.
  • Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Creativity and strong analytical skills are important for this position.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and MUST possess a high level of integrity and responsibility.

 

 

Position: Deputy Project Director, Maternal and Neonatal Health (MNH) Care Project

Job Profile:

This is a Senior Manager position, Reporting to the Project Director, Maternal and Neonatal Health (MNH) Care Project. The successful candidate will provide support to the project director on strategic and operational leadership to MNHC strategies at the national level and in two (2) project states. S/He will provide technical leadership to a team of state project managers and project staff working in the two states on theories, strategies and approaches to achieving scaled up, evidence informed MNHC actions as outlined in national protocols and guidelines. The post holder will be part of MNHC leadership team in SFH and is expected to provide significant support to the project director. The successful candidate must be comfortable working at the highest leve with state, local government and other implementing partners. Will support joint reviews of select indicators to measure progress and providing technical support to the development of a range of intervention communication channels. In addition, she will build the capacity of project staff and health facility staff using evidence MNH interventions.

 

Qualification/Experience: The desired candidate:

  • Must possess a first degree in the Social/ Biological/Health or Health or Medical Sciences as well as a relevant second degree.
  • Must have at least eight (8) years progressive experience in the public health or social development sector preferable in the areas of skills and knowledge transfer both at individual and organizational levels.
  • Must have at least eight (8) years demonstrable experience in designing, testing, refining and implementing community interventions in material and neonatal health care.
  • Must have proven experience working in similar organization with in-depth understanding of project management tools such as logical framework. Performance management system and indicators.
  • Must have in-depth experience in developing, requesting and using technical assistance and other capacity building tools to catalyze problem solving within an institutional setting
  • Good interpersonal. communication and presentation skills, training and report writing skills are very important to this position.
