Position: Design Engineering – Power Plants
Job Description:
- Designs power system facilities and equipment for construction of power generation, transmission lines, and distribution systems and equipment: Designs and plans layout of generating plants, transmission and distribution lines, and receiving and distribution stations. Directs preparation of, or prepares drawings and specific type of equipment and materials to be used, in construction and equipment installation.
- Participate in preparation of labor estimates, material, construction, and equipment costs.
- Inspects completed installations for conformance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.
- Observes operation of installation for conformance with operating standards.
- Coordinates operation and maintenance activities to ensure optimum utilization of power system facilities and meet customer demands for electrical energy.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 5 years of practical design experience with a strong understanding of power supply development, testing, and mathematical validation of all specifications
- Implement and test designs using simulation and mathematics tool
- Have carried successful products through the entire design, manufacturing, and sustaining cycles
- B.Sc Electrical Electronics/Mechanical/Civil engineering with relevant post graduate training
- Strong knowledge of and experience in: signal integrity, layout, and grounding principles
- Passion for learning about and working with analog, digital, & other computer technologies

Position: Estimator – Cost Engineer
Job Description:
- Review scope of work, specifications and drawings received from client. Understand fully the Instruction to Bidder requirements and coordinate BQQ of Engineering projects and firming up costs.
- Prepare and assist in the development of a Work Breakdown Structure in a project, WBS should be aligned with the schedule and cost and suitable in capturing all cost components for easy tracking.
- Prepare multi-discipline Conceptual, Pre-FEED, FEED & Detailed Engineering Design cost estimates for projects (Class 1-2-3-4 Estimates) and ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with scope of work and should aligned and standardized with Estimating Methodology in all estimate/project phases and in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
- Oversee the establishment of labour and construction equipment rates, equipment prices, bulk material unit prices and quantities for estimates and change orders.
- Prepare estimating plan and methods and other estimating procedures including Basis of Estimates tailored to each project that would reflect the project execution philosophy.
- Prepare and document cost estimates/overall cost summary utilizing the existing database, vendor budgetary quotes and historical data for project screening, approvals and budgetary purposes.
- Prepare budget factors and make cost reports for ongoing projects.
- Collect and analyse cost data (ex. major equipment (long lead items) and maintain/update databank. Perform cost studies and analysis, site inspection/verification and audit.
- Compile historical information to be used for future application/comparison and should match to source data.
- Provide proposal and study support, Ensure all contract proposals and changes of work scope are properly estimated and documented.
- In addition to direct costs, will evaluate all project indirect costs including the required contingency and escalation.
- Coordinate Assurance Reviews and benchmarking exercise including cost reduction studies of the project.
- Floating of pre-bid enquiries to suppliers and sub contractors. Evaluation of offers received from vendors and subcontractors, preparing bid tabulations and attending post bid clarifications and meeting with Client.
- Preparation of Alternative proposal if requested by client.
- Attend & review bid evaluation of the subcontractor if needed.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience
- B.Sc. Civil / Mechanical engineering / Quantity Surveyor
- Project management certification.
- Familiar with cost risk analysis practices
- Excellent oral and written communication.
