Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of the Shell Chair on Biodiversity and Climate Change at the University of Uyo

Position:  Shell Chair on Biodiversity and Climate Change

(The occupant shall be known as The Shell Professor of Biodiversity and Climate Change)

Requirements

To qualify for the position, prospective candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. Should have at least ten (10) years full professorial experience in the field of Biodiversity and Climate Change.
2. Should be a Professor with a wide range of teaching, research and consulting experience in Biodiversity and Climate Change, including professional activities in local and international scenes with recognitions.
3. Should possess the ability to initiate value adding studies of benefit to industry, academia and the wider society;
4. Must be highly motivated professionally with good working relations, including relations with the industry.

Conditions of Service

The condition of service is attractive, including a Shell Premium, with prospects for annually funded research programmes and conferences. The chair will be occupied for four years in the first instance and renewable for another four years only.
