Axios Foundation Nigeria is seeking seven (07) candidates for the position below

Position: Logistics Advisor

Location: Abia (1), Adamawa (2), Bayelsa (3), Borno (4), Jigawa (5), Rivers (6), Yobe (7)

Position Purpose:

To provide technical support and capacity building in the Supply Chain Management System to SMOH, CMS and health facilities on behalf of AXIOS under the SIDHAS project

Dudes and Responsibilities

1.       Participate in the development and implementation of Axios work plan for projects

2.       Process the request for HIV/AIDS medicines supply from the Health Facilities (HP) and order same from the Axios Central Warehouse.

3.       Support the improvement of data quality at the HFs in a sustainable manner

4.       Periodically conduct data quality assessment at HFs to ensure continuous progressive data quality improvement

5.       Provide technical support and capacity building for staff of the HFs, SMOH and CMS

6.       Monitoring and coordinating quality assurance for the Inventory Management System.

7.       Providing technical support in decentralization of services to selected primary health care facilities

8.                Support HF Laboratories in setting up a functional Logistics Management Information System

9.                Perform any other duties as may be assigned by die supervisor

Qualifications, experiences and skills

1. A degree in Pharmacy.
2. 3-5 years experience in Pharmacy or Logistics management
3. Experience in the area of HIV/AIDS is an added advantage
4. Project management and practical experience in health care related projects required
5. Experience with the government system and dynamics of working with NGOs and private parties
6. Good understanding of Health sector especially in the areas of HIV/AIDS as a developmental issue and the Socio-economic parameters involved in Nigeria and world over
7. Experience in Logistics management and ability to work with Multi-disciplinary teams. Dynamic personality with initiative and flexibility
8. Excellent spoken and written English
9. Must have organizational and strong computer skills

Job Circumstances

The Job involves extensive travels locally up to 40% of the time
