Nigeria Northern, Education Initiative
RTI International, through the Northern Nigeria Education Initiative (NEI) seeks qualified consultants to perform data processing, analysis and report writing for an upcoming learning assessment in Bauchi and Sokoto States. The work is expected to take place between April-July 2013 and will require approximately 40 days.
Position: Consultants
Tasks:
The consultant will be responsible for:
- Data processing and analysis of reading and mathematics assessments.
- Data processing tasks will include proper weighting of all stages of selection, calculations of the finite population corrections and analysis based on the complex data’s sample structure.
- Data analysis will include single variable means and proportions, single and multiple variable linear regressions, and single and multiple variable logistic regressions.
- The consultant will work with State education sector officials and RTI to write data analysis reports.
RTI will provide support to the consultant regarding methodology and analysis output required.
Required qualifications:
- At least five years experience in checking, editing, processing and analyzing complex survey data using a statistical software package such as SPSS or STATA, with STATA preferred.
- Experience analyzing learning assessment data highly desired.
