It also support Shells knowledge enrichment initiatives that assist in evolving a symbiotic relationship between the academia & Exploration and Production Industry.

Position: Shell Professorial Chair in Mechanical Engineering
Applicants must be distinguished Professors and scholars in the areas of Mechanical, Production or Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, with major research activity in the following areas:
- Composite materials
- Corrosion of oil & gas
- Energy and energy conservation.
Candidates must possess considerable relevant experience including demonstrated academic and research leadership and must be Registered Engineers. A good oil field experience is an added advantage.
Conditions of Service
The appointment, which is to commence as soon as possible, is for four (4) years in the first instance. The conditions and salary are as approved for enhanced Professorial Chairs in the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. The occupant will be required to lead a Seminar each session and at the end of the Lecture, to organize a major Seminar/Symposium/Lecture.
