Vacancies: Director of Research (Clinical Sciences), Director of Research (Medical Microbiology)
The Nigerian Institute of Medical Research Yaba-Lagos, a Parastalalof the Federal Ministry of Health hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following Senior Research and Administrative Positions
Position: Director of Research (Clinical Sciences) – CONMESS 07 STEP I
Salary Scale: (N4, 233, 344.00xN113, 207.00) per annum
Qualification and Experience
- The candidate must possess an MBBS degree and Fellowship of the National or West African Post-Graduate Medical Colleges or its equivalent in any of the clinical disciplines with least 15 years post fellowship experience.
- An MPH degree is an added advantage.
- The candidate must have had a minimum of four years work experience as a Deputy-Director or a similar position (Research) on the job grade with a Research/Academic Establishment.
- There should be evidence of continued productivity and distinguished contribution to knowledge through research with at least Thirty (30) publications in peer reviewed journals. Evidence of administrative experience, competencies in computer application and ability/evidence of winning research grants will also be an added advantage.
Position: Director of Research (Medical Microbiology) – CONMESS 07 STEP 1/CONHESS 15 STEP 1

Qualification and Experience
- The candidate must possess a Ph.D in Medical Microbiology or an MBBS degree plus a registrable Post-Graduate Fellowship of the National or West African Post-Graduate Medical Colleges or its equivalent in Parasitology.
- The candidate must have put in not less than four years as a Deputy-Director Research or its equivalent with Research/Academic Establishment.
- An MPH degree is an added advantage.
- There should be evidence of continued productivity and distinguished contribution to knowledge through research with at least thirty (30) publications in peer reviewed journals. Evidence of Administrative experience, competencies in computer application and ability /evidence of winning research grants ability will also be an added advantage.
