A Marine Company servicing the Oil and Gas sector is seeking highly skilled professionals for the under-listed positions in its Lagos and Port-Harcourt Offices:
Position: Marine Team Leader/Manager, Reference: MTM001
Location: Office in Lagos, Travel Offshore, West Africa & other International Locations
Description:
- Suitable candidates would have a minimum of 15 years’ experience with a broad understanding of Vessel procurement and chartering requirements.
- Position requires a complete knowledge and understanding of the Marine Industry with proven leadership and management skills.
- Credentials of a Master Mariner would be a plus with ability to completely analyze appropriate vessels for various scopes of work within the Oil & Offshore Construction Industry and be able to organize and lead a team towards performing those functions.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Perform and guide other team members into performing:
- identify suitable vessel charter prospects worldwide
- Comparing and analyzing of vessel prospects
- Physically inspect vessels and issues reports/recommendations
- Ensure vessels meet client’s Marine, Construction, Safety, MOH and Security Standards
- Dealing with Third-Party vessel auditors and Class Societies.
- Coordinate and document detailed vessel inspections
- Negotiate and accomplish Charter Party Agreements with vessel owners
- Ensure documentary compliance of vessels
- Coordinate and manage Project required fleet of vessels once engaged
- Develop and manage vessel schedules and assignments
- Managing a team of 8 staff in a multi-national/cultural environment.
