Nigerian Machine Tools Limited, the largest Machine Tools Company in sub -Saharan Africa seeks to engage purpose driven and result oriented persons to fill the following vacancies and facilitate the Successful repositioning and expansion process in our Oshogbo plant.
Position: Shop Floor Supervisor NMT/W/SFH
(GARMENT/ LEATHER WORKS)
Job Description
- Supervise production of quality fabrics from initial pattern through cutting, sewing and finishing
- Sew samples and ensure production teams follow all garment/leather construction details, monitoring product standards with key emphasis on quality
- oversee workflow and work with methods to improve efficiency
- Report equipment breakdown, operating problems, assist with revising production schedules and priorities as well as perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and making minor repairs on sewing machines
- Ensure compliance to all company’s policies, safety requirements and codes of conduct
Requirements
- First Degree / HND Fabrics / Leather Technology or related discipline with 8 years experience in similar capacity within garment / leather manufacturing environment.
- Must possess Excellent people Management Skills, able to read notes and demonstrate construction to sewing operators.
- Ability to sewing machine/maintenance/limited repairs is compulsory
Position: Tailors/Dressmaker & Costume Sewers: NMT/W/TDCS

Job Description
- Execute component and complete sewing operations within a team/modular approach in order to provide full garment/fabrics prototypes from a design sketch or pattern
- Create Jackets, Clothing,, uniforms, safety equipments
Requirements
- Diploma in Fabric / leather technology or related discipline with minimum of 5 years production or prototype sewing operations experience. Or Trade Test Certificate in Dress/Leather making with 8 years experience as fashion designer.
- Ability to speak English and understand spoken English with sufficient capability to communicate with Managers and co-workers.
- Expert ability to execute component apparel sewing applications with experience in a wide variety of sewing machines.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs on equipment is an added advantage.
- Must have good hand- eye coordination with high finger dexterity.
