A well-structured Company in the oil and gas industry requires the services of an experienced pro-active, hands-on Position for immediate employment at the company’s head office in Lagos.
Position: Human Resources Services Officer
The successful candidate will report to the Management in the discharge of the following functions, among others:
- Ensure that company’s employment and administrative guidelines are implemented faithfully in line with best practice
- Update data base of existing and prospective employees
- Analyze prospective employees curriculum vitae, format and computerize same according to the company’s CV format standard; retrieve CVs from data base whenever needed, and keep custody of employees files and records, using the latest HR software.
- Handle industrial relations, implement collective bargaining agreements proactively, and ensure that laid down grievance procedures are followed
- Ensure that employees disciplinary process is not compromised
- Implement all approved statutory and conventional training programmes
- Handle statutory matters as they relate to various ministries and agencies of the Federal, State and Local Governments
- Handle insurances, pensions, employee compensation scheme, staff medical retainership and HMO.
- Handle utility matters such as telephone bills, computer systems, internet, water rates, outgoings.
- Ensure accurate calculation, computation, approval and prompt payment of employees salaries, wages, and other remunerations.
- Keep inventory of company property.
- Interface with line and functional departments and supervisors in carrying out duties which cut across departments.
- Attend staff meetings and report on department’s progress and challenges.
Education/Experience/Special Skills:
- Applicants must be degree-qualified from the social sciences/humanities background.
- Candidates with a minimum of five (5) years human resources management experience preferably in the oil and gas industry, and preferably not above 35 years of age.
- Sound computer literacy, with adequate competence in the use of the most current HR information software. Membership of the CIPM will be an added advantage.
