Position: Case Hole Completions Engineer
Job Location Port Harcourt, Nigeria
Job Purpose
- Cased Hole Completions Engineer is carry out the installation or deployment of completions/tools in the field in line with company and clients polices and procedures, abiding by all regulatory policies, HSE and good industry standards
- Carry out or supervise quality processes involved in job preparation which includes servicing measuring, testing, documentation and load-outs and carry out presentations when necessary
- Expected to train and mentor intensively, and develop into Field Service Supervisor with the ability to mentor field service engineer trainees while gaining more experience
Position reports to: Operational Manager
Directly Supervises Trainee Engineers Technicians Workshop Assistants
Key Responsibilities
- Install completions equipment using proven and established working practices within the limit of quality and safety
- Assist in job preparation and ensure that equipment, hand tools are fit for use all pre-installation checks/testing has been carried out according to standard procedures
- Attend pre and post job meetings
- Promote organization’s name through customer interaction and a professional approach to the job in hand
- Ensure that all relevant documents such as passport, driving license, swimming passes medical certificate BOSIET and other local documents are fully up to date
- Ensure that hand tools and other handling equipment are secures at the rig-site during and after operation
- Follow up all relevant paperwork when loading out tools/equipment in the base and when back-loading at the rig-site
- Assist in the workshop with equipment/tools maintenance, redressing and testing
- Ensure that equipment/ tools and basket certification are cross – checked and up to date with respect to QA/QC safety standards prior to lead-out.
- Capture rig-site information with respect to job being carried out. Coach and mentor trainee field service engineers
- Adhere to safety procedures and policies in accordance with the organizations quality and safety management system
Qualification and Experience
- A diploma, advanced level certificate degree master level certificate in petroleum processing chemical engineering
- Rig-site field installation on experience in both cased and open hole application with a minimum of 8 years of experience
- Be familiar with product line equipment maintenance assembly, disassembling and testing
- Enhance understand of download tools and surface equipment, personnel logistics mathematical understanding of product, the installation and use of computer in carrying out basic operational tasks Ideally should be able to coach or mentor new team members and be capable of leading them if required
