Healing hands Orphanages and Outreach Foundation (HHOOF) in collaboration with Children and Families across Borders (CFAB) UK, is starting a children social welfare project in Nigeria.
HHOOF is seeking a qualified Social Worker with minimum 3yrs experience to work with HHOOF and CFAB.
Position: Social Worker
Length of contract: Initially 1yr, with option to extend based on performance.
Please note that though the job is situated in Lagos, it involves travel within Nigeria.
Duties:
1. Provide case reports on Nigerian children in the UK social services department and court system, who have been separated from their families in Nigeria, with the goal to successfully reunite them with their family.
2. Provide detailed monthly update reports to both CFAB and HHOOF.
3. Collaborating with local and international agencies, to ensure progression of the case to completion.
4. Provide follow up on children reunited with their families.
Qualification/Skills:
1. The candidate is expected to hold a recognized Social Work qualification, preferably at Masters Level.
2. The candidate must have Excellent spoken and written English and excellent ICT and report writing skills.
3. Ability to competently undertake all duties and interactions with employees, partner providers and customers fairly, without unlawful discrimination, and with due regard to CFAB’s and HHOOF’s equality, diversity and health & safety polices.
Start date: June 1st 2013.
