The Governing Council of Wesley University of Science and Technology, Ondo, hereby invites applications for the posts of Registrar, University Librarian, Bursar, and Director of works, Services & Physical Planning
For the posts the University seeks candidates with vision, proven academic distinction, managerial ability, integrity and transparency in private and public life. The right candidates should also have ability to develop linkages with the external communities to support the emerging needs of the University, command and engender cooperation and loyalty of staff and students of the University. All candidates must also be proficient in Information and communication Technology (ICT).
Position: Bursar (To be vacant by October 01, 2013)
Duties
- The Bursar shall be the Head of the Finance Department of the University.
- The Candidates for this position is expected to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the operation of the financial system of the University. He/She shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day financial administration of the University
Qualifications & Experience
- Candidates for the post must possess a good honours Degree in Accounting or related discipline from a recognized University or Tertiary Institution as well as professional recognized Accountancy qualification, such as ACMA, ACA, CPA, ACCA, CAN.
- Possession of higher degree will be an advantage.
- The candidate should have at least fifteen (15) years post-honours degree and ten (10) years after the professional qualification(s). In addition, the candidates must have at least ten (10) years relevant experience in a senior management position preferably in a University or comparable.
- Applicants must also be computer literate and have a working knowledge of good Accounting packages
Position: Director of Works, Services & Physical Planning (Vacant)
Duties
- The Director of works, Services and physical Planning shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the planning, maintenance and rehabilitation of physical facilities and grounds of the University
Qualifications & Experience
- A good degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering registrable with COREN with at least fifteen (15) years post –qualification experience or Professional Masters degree in Architecture registrable with Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) with at least fifteen (15) years post –qualification experience. MBA Degree or M.Sc in Building or Facilities Management, together with managerial experience will be and added advantage. Candidate must also have experience in supervising or coordinating the work of professional facility managers.
- Evidence of registration with the relevant professional bodies will be added advantage.
Condition of Service
Wesley University of science and Technology, Ondo runs a remuneration package which is comparable to what obtains in Federal Universities and as approved from time to time by the Governing Council of the University. Candidates will be entitled to the privileges, benefits and associated prerequisites as are obtainable in the Nigerian University System.

The Appointment of Registrar, Bursar and University Librarian is for a single tenure of five (5) years

Mode of Submission of Application
Each application should include (30) copies of the applicant’s Vision for the University in the next 5 (five) years with particular reference to the position applied for.
