Position: Chief Librarian
Duties
- Framing overall library policy, personal contacts with departments
- Preparation of library budgets
- Engaging in matters of common interest
- Responsible to the Rector for the smooth running of Library in the Institution e.g. attending faculty meetings as a member of N.L.A. Librarian Committee etc.
Qualification:
- Candidates must be a holder of Masters in Library Studies M.L.S with 15 years cognate experience or a good degree of B.L.S. plus 18 years post qualification cognate experience.
- Applicants must not be below the rank of Assistant Chief Librarian.
Salary: Consolidated salary of the Chief Librarian.
Position: Director, Works & Services
Duties:
The Director of Works & Services heads the department. The bolder of the position will be responsible to the Rector for the overall control of the Works and Services Department on the following specific schedule:
- Overall control of the Works and Estate Department.
- Formulating divisional strategies to achieve the Institutional goals.
- Planning and controlling the technical activities of the Works department
- Advising the Rector on the acquisition, operation and maintenance of all Institution assets.
- Preparing Work’s Division Budget and exercising budget control.
- Keeping an inventory of all Institution Vehicles and responsibility of their maintenance, security and up-keep.
- Supervision of all staff in the Department
Qualification:
- Candidates for this post must be holders of First degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a reputable University. The possession of a higher degree will be an advantage. An eligible candidate must be a COREN Registered Engineer with at least 15 years post qualification cognate experience in projects/ works management.
- Candidates must not be below the rank of Chief Engineer.
