Programme Manager (Governance) at Christian Aid Nigeria

Christian Aid is a UK-based international NGO which exists to eradicate poverty around the world. It is currently working in more than 40 countries, and has had a programme in Nigeria since 2003. The Nigeria Country Programme presently focuses on community health and HIV, governance and gender.

Christian Aid Nigeria is looking to recruit a Programme Manager (1) to coordinate the implementation of an intervention “Voice to the People” funded by the UK Government which will deliver strong results in the area of community-driven accountability in Anambra State, and (2) to shape and oversee CA’s entire governance programme including its new tax justice work. The role provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic professional who will support CA partnerships and programmes in its governance work.

Base: Abuja with frequent travel in country

The post holder will lead and manage the partner portfolio and projects within the country programme.

S/he will manage a team with some and provide technical input, and will ensure effective management and development of the programme and appropriate support for partners.

S/he will ensure a strong link exists between our programme and advocacy and.

S/he will engage with effective fundraising, liaison and networking as appropriate.
