Vacancies: Program/M&E Officer, Program Assistant

A Reputable International NGO that supports the building of electoral democracies with support from USAID seeks qualified applicants to fill the following vacancies in its Abuja office:

 

Position: Program/M&E Officer

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating the monitoring and evaluation of program activities; guiding the development, revision, and approval of the M&E plan; and ensuring regular collection, compilation, and reporting of accurate indicator data.
  • Assist in design and implementation of the programs to achieve the organization’s objectives.
  • Assist in the development of the program narrative reports. Assist in the management of specific project activities.

 

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Demographics, Public Policy, International Development, Economics or related field
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the monitoring and evaluation of international Democracy and Governance development project activities
  • Demonstrated capacity to implement M&E activities, conduct research, analyze data and manage/use databases is required
  • Training experience including material development, design and implementation of training activities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work with diverse international team and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft

 

 

Position: Program Assistant

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting in organizing and coordinating program activities, contributing to reports, and performing other programmatic duties as required.
  • Assist in the development of the program narrative reports.
  • Take minutes of program meetings. Serve as reporter for program events, workshops and conferences.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of events, workshops and conferences.
  • Assist in the collection of data for monitoring and evaluation of activities.

 

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelors degree in governance, development or any social sciences
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in program management preferably on a democracy and governance project
  • Training experience including material development, design and implementation of training activities.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft
  • Good writing skills

 

Highest consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate strong and Proven track record with democracy and governance work.
