Position: Head of Administration and Human Resources

 

Job Roles

The Head of HR/Admin shall be responsible for both office administration and Human Resources management. Leading and supporting the development and management of human resource: business administration: office management, vendor and supplier management (including IT) issues, policies and procedures.

  • Supervise all HR/Admin staff
  • Manage the set-up and day to day delivery of office management
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships to meet operational needs.
  • Property/ Office Management, including ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
  • Manage the expense submission: review and payment for internal business expenses
  • Consult with management in providing day to day HR guidance and services.
  • Manage the development and implementation of local policies and procedures
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the management to develop solutions, programs and policies in compliance with applicable Nigerian Labor law
  • Coordinate recruitment, selection and on-boarding.
  • Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.

 

Minimum Qualification:

  • First degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources or a related field. Candidate must possess professional certification.
  • A Masters degree in a relevant course would be an advantage.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience is required of which at least 3years experience must be in leadership position.

 

Position: Senior Contracts Engineer.

Job Roles

The Contract Engineer shall be responsible for commercial management in respect to all contractual, commercial and administrative issues, and implementing and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures in the administration of the contract during all phases of commitment.

 

  • Develop together works and services demand forecast, planning and budgeting to support planned activities and prepare contracts plans within allocated business area or work service category.
  • Advise on and assist in evaluating contract variations, cost forecast, claims, non conformances, disputes/conflicts and facilitate close out.
  • Attend contract meetings (with contractors and contract owners/holders)
  • Prepare, review and issue enquiries/requests for quotation documents and subsequently analyse bids and lead clarifications and negotiations in collaboration with Tender Evaluation Team TET
  • Responsible for ITT contract agreement preparation.
  • Reviewing and evaluating all third party contractual documentation and identifying and mitigating risks
  • Participate to the definition of the contractual strategy, taking into account local context.
  • Participate to negotiation, record minutes of clarification meetings reply to the Contractors requests for clarifications
  • Prepare the contracts using standard forms and electronic platform.
  • Participate & suppliers and contractors evaluation and follow up on HSEQ responsibilities:

 

Pre-contract (from ITT to contract award)

  • Ensure that the tender processes are in compliance with Project procedures and particularly the relevant rules involved in Tendering for contracts in Nigeria
  • Ensure that call for tender documentation and contract documentation comply with procedures
  • Maintain a tracking of the development of each contract from pre-qualification through Call For Tender, approvals and award
  • Manage the post contract administration of awarded contracts, including certificates, change orders and closeout dossiers

 

Post-Contract (from contract award to contract closeout)

  • Provide advice on contractual issues, and prepare / validate all contractual correspondence
  • Analyse requests for change orders, and prepare / validate change order documents where appropriate
  • Ensure all contractual certificates and guarantees all are in place and in the due time
  • Prepare certificates to be issued in accordance with the contract
  • Coordinate the processing of monthly applications for payment, and verifying invoice submissions
  • Prepare the contract close out documentation in line with procedure.

 

Minimum Qualification:

  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Contract Law or similar industry-related discipline.
  • Professional Experience: Ideal candidate will have a minimum 10 years’ relevant experience.
  • Good technical knowledge of drilling / completion operations as well as excellent knowledge of drilling contracts management.
  • Supervise subordinates and service companies. Overseas and offshore experience a plus.
  • The ideal candidate should also have Contracts Variation and Claims Management’ Defence experience; have the ability to offer flexible approach in handling complex commercial matters, including cost reporting.
