Our client is an industrial group incorporated to provide top-of-the-range onshore and offshore oil field solutions to local and multinational operators in Nigeria and the West African sub-region. Consistent with an increased number of project awards, we have a growing need to recruit competent professionals with verifiable and relevant experience in the Oil & energy operations to drive the following processes:
Position: General Manager-Operations (Ref #009)
Functional Area: Port & Terminals Operations
Reports to: Deputy Managing Director
Responsible for: Operations Department & Facility Maintenance
Overall Job Purpose:
Responsible for the strategic management of the company’s operations to ensure speedy delivery of quality services, development of opportunities into viable projects and achieving high level operational efficiencies and reputation.
Quality Task and Responsibilities
- Lead the formulation and implementation of company’s operational procedures and guidelines
- Work with senior management and other executives to identify, evaluate and develop new business opportunities and feasibility reports supporting growth based on the insight derived from operational statistics and market analysts
- Prepare operational budget in line with established objectives, monitor and oversee cost control and operational efficiency measures to comply with budget parameters.
- Prepare short and medium term requirements for operational resources such as cargo handling equipment, lifting gear and necessary tools to sustain required operational standards
- Manage and maintain relationship with all base customers and ensure that their requirements are met on a just-in-time basis
- Establish relationship with relevant third parties (public and private sector) and partners in order to boost operational efficiency
- Develop and implement appropriate Service Level Agreements covering all operational activities
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure operational activities meet established service level agreements and applicable quality, safety and health guidelines and timelines are adhered to
- Develop adequate framework including appropriate policies and procedures to ensure quality and accuracy for recording and reporting customer/business transactions information and documentation
- Produce periodic updates and management reports covering Operations activities
- Review and update all job descriptions and KPI’s of operational staff
- Oversight responsibility for facility management for the planning and scheduling of maintenance, repairs and refurbishments of terminal facilities.

Person Specification:
- A good degree; preferably with post graduate and professional qualifications
- Minimum 10 – 12 years’ experience in port operations and/or shore base logistics, four of which must have been at management levels. Candidates from the shipping & maritime profession that meet other criteria will have a strong advantage.

Position: Manager- FPSO Operations (Ref #010)
Functional: Operations / Technical
Reports to: General Manager (Operations /Technical)
Responsible For: Asset Management
Overall Job Purpose:
Provide onshore front-line technical support capabilities to the Marine and offshore FPSO assets team members on all operational activities to maintain asset integrity and production uptime and off-loading in safe and professional manner.
Quality Task and Responsibilities
- Provide high-level technical support capability to all Asset Team members.
- Provide improvement, planning, execution & co-ordination documentation in line with Marine and Oil/Gas industry best practice.
- Collate detailed QA documentation, reports, presentation and audit control on all offshore unique and planned maintenance routines. Conduct vessel survey and work alongside ABS representatives to ensure asset integrity and any execution recovery plans so as to maintain “Class” and necessary insurance criteria to prevent production impact.
- Work with the Business Development, Safety, Procurement, Material-Logistics and Finance Managers/ Representatives to ensure safe working practices and speed on-schedule project, running maintenance execution.
- Compile in-house and external budget and commercial proposals for offshore running or specific project requirements.
- Maintain cordial relations with the offshore teams by visiting the OIM and Supervisor Representatives on periodic occasions.
- Responsible to hold ‘Customer inter-Face’ meetings and deal with all queries and any rectification requests.
- Regular domestic travel to O&G Industry hubs to liaise with team members and customer base.
- Where necessary train other team members to build expertise within the Operational-Technical Dept.
- Actively promote and stimulate a corporate identity and vision that reflects a modern and transparent Nigerian infrastructure, focused on local and international Project award.
Person Specification:
- A good degree; preferably with post graduate and professional qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in FPSO, OSV, Marine industry. Candidates with process background in an FPSO facility will have a strong advantage.

- Proven documentation and project management skills, proven commercial financial exposure, Conversant with Industry standards & regulatory practices and audit controls, Confident, highly motivated, good team player, trustworthy, customer-centric, internationally orientated, innovative.
