The Federal Government of Nigeria has upgraded the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, to a degree-awarding institution and the National  Universities Commission has, accordingly,  recognised the Academy as the 37th Federal University and  the  124th  University in  Nigeria. Academic activities are scheduled to commence in September 2012. The Academy is seeking intelligent and  patriotic Nigerians of impeccable character to employ as pioneer staff to translate into reality the Government’s vision of creating a model security training institution, internationally respected for the quality and efficiency of its training and the excellence of its academic standards. Candidates for academic staff positions whose research interests tilt towards police and security studies are especially encouraged to apply.

Position: Bursar

 

Qualification

  • A person  seeking  appointment as  Bursar must possess a good Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting and be a full member of ICAN or ANAN. Possession of a higher degree and a Fellowship of the relevant professional body will be an advantage.
  • In addition, the person must demonstrate versatility in the use of relevant accounting software. In addition to  having  a minimum  of 15 years’  cognate experience, preferably in a tertiary educational institution, the person must also  show evidence of a track record of personal and professional integrity and the ability to provide leadership in establishing a transparent and forward-looking accounting system in the Academy. Experience as a Bursar in a Federal University will be a distinct advantage.

 

 

Position: Deputy Bursar

 

Qualification

  • A person seeking appointment as Deputy Bursar must possess a good Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting and be a full member of ICAN or A NAN.
  • Possession of a higher degree and a Fellowship of the relevant body will be an advantage.  In addition the p demonstrate versatility in the use of relevant software.
  • In addition to having a minimum of 14 years experience in the accounting profession, preferably in a tertiary educational institution, the person must also show evidence or a track record of personal and professional integrity.

 

 

Position: Chief Accountant

 

Qualification

A person seeking appointment as Chief Accountant must possess a good Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting and be a full member of ICAN or ANAN. In addition, the person must demonstrate versatility in the use of relevant accounting software.

In addition to having a minimum of 12 years’ experience in the accounting profession, preferably in a tertiary educational institution, the person must also show evidence of a track record of personal and professional integrity.

 

Note: Salaries and Other Conditions of Service are as obtainable in other federal Universities.
